Byron Gordon, SEO-PR, interviews Brad Kleinman, Director of Education, Online Marketing Connect, on the need for businesses to create a content and social media marketing strategy. Brad says without content, it’s not possible for a business to have a social media strategy. Places to start include by using Twitter search, RSS feeds, Google alerts, tracking your customer’s blogs, developing how-to articles. Brad goes on to discuss the significance of Facebook and why businesses whose customers use application must have a presence on it as well. Businesses can develop their own pages targeted towards their specific audience. Brad concludes by talking about the significance of KPIs, or key performance indicators, which help businesses determine how effective their content and social media marketing strategies are. Brad says most companies are just looking at the amount of traffic that comes to their site from their various social media marketing efforts. But Brad says businesses must also look at the different types of conversion metrics to help determine which of their social media marketing efforts (using apps such as YouTube, Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter) are bearing fruit. GOOGLE PLUS VS FACEBOOK PLUS Google has announced their new Social Network, Google+ (‘Plus’) which attempts to distance itself from Facebook with a raft of original features. in this video guide we look at how they can have an impact on SEO and the way we communicate online. What a spectacular video!
4 people who watched this like Facebook and don’t understand this.
I would rather not have the entire world see what I am up to
I DON’T WANT MY FRIENDS TO SEE WHAT I GOOGLE!!! lol
@Ashirette Sry hunny, but if anything, Gplus got far better privacy than Facebook thank you.
yes!!!!
+100,000!
Awesome!
@KeithMcElwain gundotra and horowitz are hinting on the +1. i think it’s gonna be the most powerful social plug in out there. completely manageable from your g+ account and completely interactive like we’ve never been all connected before. all these commenting forums feel niche and disconnected. the +1 will change that. the enigmatic look on their face as if we’re gonna be in for a treat just tells me i’m right. so folks, JUMP IN ASAP. the interaction in g+ is phenomenal.
I don’t want to be stalked by random creepers…I think I’ll stay in my small, little facebook corner.
thanks for sharing!!!!!!!! I love Google Plus… I am all about it. I actually deleted my fb.. but i love the circles, no spam, oh and my mom cannot see my crazy summer parties if i posted them oh and my boss too lolololol (not that i have any) ok so ill totally circle u.. I have never asked this before, “Can you Circle me Back?” lol
@chippprrr by main stream media. Social media allows me to connect with you to share what is. And for you to see, agree, disagree, converse, come to a decision and come up with a mission. It allows us to share that mission with millions and create change from our free wifi access at McDonalds. We the people, now have a megaphone at our disposal and ways to generate income that can pay for our time. We can decide to use it and change the world. Go ahead and spy… you can’t stop us all : P
@chippprrr These social networks are broadcast channels that are controlled by the masses, for if we decide not to go on facebook, it will lose it’s essence. Social media is the force that allows our population to share unfiltered and free content that has not been diluted by corporate lobbyists or propaganda creators. It allows society who has never been able to shout in the streets, to do so and reach millions. It allows for ideas of freedom and logic to move and supersede the ideals marketed
@ShivaTheAuspicious The point is for all to use social media to develop their own brand and create their own level of “famous” familiarity to share value and generate income online. As we watch the news it is quite clear that our largest corporations are replacing human resources with technology resources. What are these unemployed human resources to do? Embrace the technology resources on a personal leve and develop the income necessary to pay the bills and for the food they need : )
AND, THESE NETWORKS ARE APART OF THE “GLOBALIZATIONS” INTO THE “NEW ECONOMY”.
Of which shall be the loss of sovereign currency, nationality, & contitutions.
@KeithMcElwain
I’m aware of the “privacy controls” but that doesn’t change the fact that these networks (spoken of) are governmental spyware .
ALL OF THESE SOCIAL NETWORKS ARE SPYWARE. IS THAT NEGATIVE?
OF COURSE IT IS.
Reality…nobody cares about what you’re doing on a regular basis unless you’re a person of distinction. I find social networking sites pointless when you’re either not conducting business or are famous in some degree. Truth is, most people’s lives are terminally boring and they have nothing of consequence or value to say. I am definitely not interested in returning to social networking.
@jellyfishslapper Both have privacy controls to limit your exposure. But my suggestion is to use social media as your platform to shout at the top of your lungs to the world. You have to understand that even if you share something you want private with a small group of friends – if it’s online it can be printed, copy and pasted, screen recorded and sent to millions. If you are posting online make sure it OK for everyone to know because once its out there – everyone can know : )
